The main argument against the increase in minimum wage is that it causes higher levels of unemployment. What is our counterargument?
ReplyDeleteThe liveable wage argument. We want people to have a liveable wage given the high inflation (prices of food is higher). We wish people to have inflation adjusted wages.
ReplyDeleteHow do we know whether they are liveable or not? Poor people can speak for themselves, but how do we know whether they are lying or speaking the truth? I think the only way to actually figure that out is to be poor ourselves.
